HARVEST:SUN

HARVEST:SUN is a harvest process that is performed at moonriver.energy plants. The input of the process is sun radiation, the output of the process is green electricity.

The efficiency of solar panels is determined by two main factors; the photovoltaic cell efficiency, based on the cell design and silicon type; and the total panel efficiency, based on the cell layout, configuration and panel size. Increasing the panel size can also increase efficiency due to creating a larger surface area to capture sunlight, with the most powerful solar panels now achieving up to 700 Wp power ratings.
In real-world use, the operating efficiency of solar panels is dependent on many external factors. Depending on the local environmental conditions these various factors can reduce panel efficiency and overall system performance. The main factors which affect solar panel efficiency are solar irradiance, shading, panel orientation, temperature, location (latitude), time of year and dust and dirt.
